Svensk Skogsservice is not only permeated by a commitment and know-how regarding forest care and contracting. There is an underlying passion for being in the woods and fields – to be able to work in nature. The family business is owned and run by the seventh generation of forest workers, it is a joy for us to be able to work with long-term value creation for our customers.

We are also an award-winning forestry service company with high ambitions in quality, environment, working environment and social sustainability. We carry out forest management and offer a broad portfolio of forestry services. Some of the services we can help you with include clearing, planting, sale of forest seedlings, forestry consultation and forestry projects around infrastructure.

Salary Example
  • Base salary according to the Swedish collective agreement – Skogsavtalet, negotiated by GS and Gröna Arbetsgivare.

Who we're looking for:

  • You who are thorough, responsible, and have a positive attitude.
  • You who care about a good work environment and have a strong desire to follow routines.
  • You who want a long-term, safe, and secure workplace where mutual respect is a key factor.
  • Experience of working in the forest industry is a plus, but not a requirement – we value your interest and willingness to constantly develop and learn in your work.
  • Physical endurance and a good work ethic.
  • A driver’s license is a bonus, but not required.

What can I expect when I have been employed?

Introductory days at our office in Sweden

Assessment and Training

  • Inventory of existing competencies
  • Task-specific training (e.g., brushing or planting)

Certifications and Safety (based on work requirements)

  • SYN certification
  • CPR/First Aid training
  • ESA training
  • ADR 1.3 certification (transportation of petrol and flammable substances)
  • Safety briefing

Gear and Policies

  • Distribution of work clothes and equipment
  • Overview of Svensk Skogsservice policies and company rules

Employment Formalities

  • Review of contract terms
  • Signing of contracts
  • Assistance with government agency contacts, if needed

Applicants from countries outside the EU/EEA

For those coming from a country outside the EU/EEA, you must have a work permit.
The application for a work permit must be started well in advance, as the entire process takes several months.
The work permit must be applied for at the Swedish Migration Agency, and the permit must be approved before you can start your work.
The most common type is a seasonal work permit, which is valid for up to 6 months.

The application fee is 2000 SEK (2025).
If you receive an approved work permit and work for 6 months at Svensk Skogsservice, Svensk Skogsservice will cover this cost.

Svensk Skogsservice administrative staff will assist you throughout the entire application process.
Svensk Skogsservice will not charge any fees or otherwise require payment for helping with this process.
